WHO WE ARE AND WHAT WE DO
Central Dry Cleaners is an independent Dry Cleaner, who pride themselves on a service with an emphasis on our customers convenience and value for money.
A bit of history
In 1941 Eric and Jean Lobsey leased premises in Brisbane Street, Tamworth, for their dry cleaning and tailoring business. By 1962, Eric and Jean bought C.J Lillicrap Feed Merchants Building at 125 Bridge Street, allowing them more space in which to carry out their workload.
Today’s Family Business
In 1980 Ross and Judy Lobsey took over the ownership of Central Dry Cleaners. Soon after the business moved to 119 Bridge Street and then, in 1992 a new building was erected in Belmore Street where the business remains today. Throughout 50 years in the same job, Ross has witnessed many changes to his home town. One thing that never changes, however, is the quality and service he and his loyal and experienced staff continue to provide as Tamworth’s longest serving dry cleaners.
